The compact, portable Nuvola was invented by Grimac (a well-known Italian manufacturer of commercial coffee machines and related parts) to make espresso and cappuccino preparation at home or at work as simple and foolproof as possible, using pods conforming to the E.S.E. - Easy Serve Espresso - standard, widely available from an increasing number of high quality domestic and European coffee roasters. The Nuvola is an innovative, mechanically simple and durable design that makes espresso preparation as easy as inserting a pod onto its receptacle, flipping a lever to tighten the pod in the brewing chamber, and pushing a button to start and stop espresso delivery. For frothing milk, Nuvola includes a separate boiler for the steaming wand, which produces plenty of powerful steam and allows simultaneous preparation of coffee and steamed milk. Plus, because the two boilers are independently controlled by separate heating elements and thermostats, you are always insured an amazing amount of dry steam from the frothing wand without compromising the brewing temperature of your coffee (a recurring limitation of many non-commercial espresso and cappuccino machines). Unit includes a large, 3-liter (101 fl oz) removable water tank. A slot on the side of the unit allows for easy visual check of its level. Also included are two inline water softeners (one each for the coffee and steam boilers). The Grimac Nuvola will only operate with ESE-compatible pods, such as our excellent offerings from Lavazza and Deorsola. The attractive and compact design, coupled with the extreme ease of use, make the Nuvola ideal both as a home or office / vending machine. Bodywork, frame and cup warmer are in sturdy stainless steel, with a stylish black front ABS faceplate.
